Richmond, IN (December 12, 2023) – Job seekers can now search for jobs with Wayne County employers using the Wayne County Job Finder. The EDC of Wayne County worked with Jobs EQ to create a new tool, tailor-made for Wayne County job seekers and employers. Valerie Shaffer, President of the EDC of Wayne County said, “We are continually working to find ways to enhance and support our employers’ efforts to attract and retain talent in Wayne County. We’re excited to bring this new tool online as another way to help our employers spread the word about their employment opportunities.”

The new tool, financially supported by the Wayne County Foundation and Forward Wayne County, searches the Internet for job openings posted by Wayne County employers, including sites such as Indeed, Glass Door, or the company’s own website.

“The Wayne County Job Finder is fully supported by Forward Wayne County’s Employability Coalition,” said Acacia St. John, Program Director. “This tool will assist current and future residents with job opportunities. In addition, it will be an added asset to the Make My Move initiative and other talent recruitment efforts.”

Job seekers can search for jobs by industry, job title, city or town, or the company’s name. There is an FAQ section for job seekers and employers. Anyone can use the Wayne County Job Finder – it’s free and no sign up required. There are currently more than 2,000 jobs on the Wayne County Job Finder.
