Hidden Valley Housing Development Makes Progress in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. (January 28, 2026) – Infrastructure installation is moving forward at the Hidden Valley subdivision on Richmond’s west side, led by developer Trademark Construction LLC in partnership with the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Wayne County’s Housing Accelerator Program.

Hidden Valley represents the first phase of Wayne County’s progressive $26 million investment in new single-family housing. The initiative focuses on increasing attainable housing options, expanding existing neighborhoods, and supporting long-term community growth. The development remains on schedule, with substantial infrastructure and site work.

Hidden Valley will offer a mix of ranch and two-story homes ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet. These homes feature three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and walkout basements, all designed with modern finishes for family living. Key infrastructure improvements, including water line installation, curb construction, excavation, and street enhancements, are underway. These updates reflect the established standards of this well-planned neighborhood.

Upon completion of this 12th phase, Hidden Valley will finalize a decades-long development project on Richmond’s southwest side that has contributed to a vibrant, age-friendly community. The project reflects Wayne County’s commitment to enhancing livability while promoting economic vitality throughout the region.

“This project demonstrates the momentum behind the Housing Accelerator Program and our shared commitment to delivering new, attainable housing,” said Sarah Mitchell, Economic Development Manager with the EDC of Wayne County. “Hidden Valley is setting a strong standard for future developments. It demonstrates how targeted investment can transform vacant, platted subdivisions into productive housing. Through this program, Wayne County is leveraging public-private partnerships to accelerate development and bring new homes to market strategically. The program provides critical resources that support infrastructure improvements, housing construction, and workforce initiatives, positioning Wayne County as a sustainable place for residents and families to live and work.”

Trademark Construction LLC brings extensive local expertise and a proven track record of quality development to the project. Terry Robinson emphasized the importance of collaboration in delivering meaningful housing solutions.

“This project is about more than building homes; it is about investing in Wayne County’s future,” said Robinson. “Public-private partnerships allow developers and local governments to work together to identify underutilized properties, secure funding, and create housing that benefits the broader community. New housing today must meet higher standards, and through partnerships like this, we can deliver quality homes efficiently.”

A grand opening celebration for Hidden Valley is planned for April 2026. Local leaders note that developments like Hidden Valley are essential for workforce attraction and retention, ensuring that housing availability aligns with the region’s ongoing economic growth.
